This was such a lovely show to work on especially in relation to its content and feel. As each episode was underscored right though, I suggested to the producer, the wonderful Sarah Dabro and editor extraordinaire (Hamish who works upstairs), that if they placed visual actions the kids were doing at musical points (bars and beats), I could then add musical sounds as punctuation rather than sound effects. We tried it and it worked a treat.
In addition to the musical sounds, I also added atmospheres and sound effects, foley movements and additional children sounds, then mixed the final sound track. Great show, great fun and rated really well.
